Aside: If you are creating multiple bar charts and want to keep a common color palette, you can click the option “Show/Modify numerical (hexadecimal) color code”. Then, you can specify your own hex color code (just click in the color box to modify the code) every time you are creating a graph and thereby ensuring that it uses the same color.
This will fill all required fields and you have an immediate output for you to talk about. Preload Datasets are available for both the One Categorical Variable and Two Categorical Variable tab.
Our final bar graph (with new colors, a subtitle and a caption) now looks like this:
Change the title or add a subtitle or caption
You can (and probably should) override the default title of “Barchart” with something more meaningful. Just check the title box to provide your own title. Check the Subtitle or Caption box to provide these.
You can now change the colors of the bars to your liking. Check the “Select colors for barchart” option and click in the color boxes that are shown to change the color for that bar.
